Salalah

Salalah is the second largest city in the Sultanate of Oman, and the largest city in the Shofar Province. Shalala is the birthplace of the current sultan, Qaboos bin Said. Shalala attracts lots of people from other parts of Oman and the Persian Gulf region during the khareef season, which spans from July to September. The climate of the region and the monsoon allows the city to grow some vegetables and fruits like coconut and Banana. There are many farms within the city where these vegetables and fruits grow.

Jebel Akdhar

The Jebel Akdhar, Jabal Akhdar or Al Jabal Al Akhdar (Arabic: الجبل الأخضر‎ meaning "the Green Mountain"), is part of the Al Hajar Mountains range in Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate of Oman. It extends about 300 km (186 mi) northwest to southeast, between 50–100 km (31–62 mi) inland from the Gulf of Oman coast, and is one of Oman’s most spectacular areas. The highest point, Jebel Shams (Mountain of the Sun), is around 3,000 metres (around 9,800 feet) high.

Jebel Shams

Jebel Shams Arabic: جبل شمس‎, (mountain of sun) is a mountain located in northeastern Oman north of Al Hamra town. It is the highest mountain of the country and part of Al Hajar Mountains range. It is a popular sightseeing area located 240 km (149 mi) from Muscat. In the summer, temperature is around 20 °C (68 °F) and in the winter it drops to less than 0 °C (32 °F)
Muttrah, (Arabic: مطرح‎) administratively a district, is located in the Muscat province of Oman. Before the discovery of oil, Muttrah was the center of commerce in Oman (Muscat). It is still a center of commerce as one of the largest sea ports of the region is located there. Other landmarks include Souq Muttrah, a traditional bazaar and Sour Al-Lawatiah, a small community of houses surrounded by an old wall. To the south lies Muscat District.

The 23rd Arabian Gulf Cup (Arabic: كأس الخليج العربي‎‎) was the 23rd edition of the biennial football competition for the eight members of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation. It took place in Kuwait from 22 December 2017 until 5 January 2018. Oman won their second title, defeating the United Arab Emirates in the final on penalties following a goalless draw.

This tournament has the least goals-per-game average (1.53) in the history of Arabian Gulf Cup tournaments.
